View of the Old Registry building at the Christchurch Art Centre. This landmark building coped well with the 2010 Canterbury Earthquake, 2011 Christchurch Earthquake, and even the June 2011 Christchurch Earthquake. However on December 23 2011 there was a swarm of powerful aftershocks and a wall on the building nearly toppled which would have resulted in collapse of the building. Fortunately, this scaffolding kept the wall upright allowing the building to be saved. See the building back in the year 2000 before it was damaged in this photo.
