About Northern Wellington
Wellington's northern suburbs lie south of the Hutt Valley and Porirua. Suburbs in alphabetical order are: Broadmeadows, Churton Park, Glenside, Greenacres, Grenada, Grenada North, Horokiwi, Johnsonville, Khandallah, Linden, Newlands, Ohariu, Paparangi, Redwood, Tawa, Takapu Valley, and Woodridge.
Many of these suburbs get great views of hills and even the harbour. However, the prevailing North-westerly wind in Wellington can be felt quite strong here, especially in Spring.
