Sandfly Point is the end of the 'Milford Track'. From here, walkers are take the boat to Milford Sound and then return to the visitors centre. 'Sandfly' refers to the common name of a flying, biting, blood-sucking insect found in New Zealand and particulary in Fiordland. |
