Mt Taranaki doubles as Mt Fuji

In 2003, the epic 'The Last Samurai' was filmed in the Taranaki region of New Zealand. The decision to film here was an easy one as Mount Taranaki resembles Mount Fuji and there are also forests and farmland that would have resembled the landscape near Mt Fuji back in 1876. |
