Queen Charlotte Sound is a natural harbor that extends for 24 kilometers (15 miles). It is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike.

The sound is named after Queen Charlotte, the wife of King George III, and was discovered by the famous British explorer Captain James Cook in 1770. It is surrounded by lush forested hills and dotted with small islands, making it a perfect location for outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, fishing, and kayaking.
