About Newmarket Auckland
Newmarket claims to be the fashion capital of New Zealand and is considered as Auckland's premier retail area, even rivalling Auckland's CBD. Broadway is the main street and has an array of local and international designers. Westgate shopping mall and other large retail centres are present and the area is also considered a main entertainment hub. There are also plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants, and fast food outlets, as well as some big supermarkets.
Newmarket adjoins the suburbs of Parnell, Remuera, Epsom, Mount Eden, and Grafton. Due to Newmarket's popularity, it often suffers from traffic gridlock, but the suburb is easily accessible by train.
