Tongatapu is the most populous island, with approximately two thirds of Tonga's population.
Tongatapu is the location of the capital Nuku'alofa which is also the largest city/town in Tonga. This island also contains Tonga's third to fifth largest towns which are Haveluloto, Vaini, and Tofoa-Koloua.
