Melbourne's Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Kings Domain Gardens was inspired by Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. It was financed back in 1929 by Sidney Myer as a place where the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra could play outdoor concerts. Today, management of the bowl is with the Victorian Arts Centre.
