About New England National Park

New England National Park is located east of Armidale on the scenic Waterfall Way, a state highway that links the coast and highlands of New South Wales. The park includes some of the Great Dividing Range's eastern escarpment. Point Lookout offers views at 1562m above sea level affording extensive views across the escarpment and the coast.

This area gained World Heritage status for its sub-alpine to temperate forests and wildlife which includes the famous Lyrebird and Platypus. The total area of the park is over 55,000 hectares and is one of the oldest and most popular in New South Wales.
