Hoop Pine or (Moreton Bay Pine) is found in rainforests on the east coast of Australia between Coffs Harbour in New South Wales to Cape York Peninsula in Northern Queensland. The species can reach heights up to 60 metres in ideal conditions and can reach and age of 450 years.
These trees occur in rocky areas or areas of poor soils. They also exist in dry rainforests which are forests that have a wet and dry season. Its scientific name is Araucaria Cunninghamii.
