About Haslewood Island

Haslewood Island is situated among the beautiful Whitsunday Islands on the edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Like most of the Whitsunday Islands, there is no development, just beaches, bushland, and coral. Chalkies Beach is the main reason people come to this island. The beach has a stunning setting and is made up of pure white silica sand, the same sand as Whitehaven Beach on neighbouring Whitsunday Island. Add to that a coral fringe at either end of beach and you have amazing location for diving, swimming, and bathing.

Looking across the bay from Chalkies Beach provides a scenic panoramic view of Whitehaven Beach and the view is even better at sunset.
