Alice Springs is the most famous outback town in Australia. It is located in the descriptively named 'Red Centre' and has the scenic MacDonnell Ranges as a backdrop. Alice as it is known, is famous for its Aboriginal culture and surrounding beautiful desert landscapes. Famous places accessible from Alice include: Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park with its huge rock formations and Watarrka National Park which contains Kings Canyon.
