Information

Amadee Island is a small coral isle popular with tourists. It has an old lighthouse that was made in France and is a good marker for locating the island.

Amadee is popular with tourists for its natural attractions including: diving the coral reef, swimming, and bathing on beautiful beaches. Although the island is very similar to many other smaller isles in New Caledonia, it is its location to Noumea, a mere 20 km away, that draws many tourists.

Upon arrival, you can hire gear at the local wharf before being taken to the fringing coral reef in small craft. Snorkelling is said to be best at the western end of the island.
