About Pangaimotu Island

Pangaimotu Island is located just 4 km off Nuku'alofa and is the closest of the 3 off shore islands including Fafa and Atata. It is a 10 minute boat trip from the Nuku'alofa Harbour.

The island has lovely white sandy beaches and excellent snorkelling in the marine reserve off the island's north-west shore and around the half-submerged wreck of "My Lady Lata II" near the landing site.

It takes approximately 20 minutes to walk around the island and there is also an interesting nature trail through the island's centre which ventures out to the coast a few times offering great views.
