Frying
Pan Lake near Rotorua covers 38,000 square metres, being the worlds largest
hot spring with an average depth of 6 metres. The average lake temperature
is about 50 degrees or 121 Farenheight but reaches temperatures in excess
of 200°C at it's deepest point. It is about 50 metres deep and has not been
active since its initial eruption.
